Hi, my name is Francine Geissler. I grew up loving the outdoors and
wanting to photograph it. When little, I would borrow my dad’s camera
constantly to take pictures until I got a camera myself. Nature is
a myriad of momentary artworks, large and small, whose images may be
captured in photos.
Growing up, I didn’t pursue photography as a career, but went into
construction and land surveying. After having kids, I decided that I
wanted to get back to my true love of photographing the great outdoors.
When not working, I am taking care of the kids and snapping away at all sorts
of things. My largest overall collection is of miscellaneous nature
shots, but my largest collection of any single subject would be my
dragonfly collection.
“If it’s outdoors, it’s fair game.” I have taken pictures of all things in
nature including fire, flowers, water, and little critters. I have also
done work in youth sports and triathalon action.
